Curling will take centre stage as the only sport to begin two days before the opening ceremony — and the only one to be played every single day throughout the 19-day event.

Mixed Doubles
Eight National Olympic Committees (NOCs) have already secured their places in the mixed doubles competition. The final two places will be determined at the Olympic Qualification Event 2025, scheduled for December in Kelowna, Canada.
The mixed doubles event will kick off the curling programme, with the first round-robin session taking place on Wednesday 4 February at 19.05. Round-robin play will continue until the morning of Monday 9 February. The top four teams at the end of the round robin will advance to the play-offs — in which first place will play fourth, and second place will take on third — at 18.05 on Monday.
Medal games follow on Tuesday 10 February. The bronze medal game will take place at 14.05, and the gold medal game will conclude the mixed doubles Olympic programme at 18.05.

Men’s and women’s competition
As with mixed doubles, eight NOCs have already qualified for both the men’s and women’s team competition. The final two places in each discipline will also be determined at the Olympic Qualification Event 2025.
The men’s and women’s competitions will run concurrently. The men’s round robin will begin at 19.05 on Wednesday 11 February and the first women’s round-robin session will take place on Thursday 12 February at 09.05.
Round-robin play will conclude with the women’s final session on the afternoon of Thursday 19 February. That evening, the men’s play-offs will commence at 19.05 to determine who will make it to the medal games, followed by the women’s play-offs on Friday 20 February at 14.05. Both sessions will see the teams that placed first at the end of their respective round robin take on fourth placed, and second place face third. The men’s bronze medal game will follow that evening at 19.05, with the women’s bronze medal match-up set for Saturday 21 February at 14.05.
Saturday evening will see the final men’s game, where the top two teams will compete for the Olympic title at 19.05. And finally, to conclude curling at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, the women’s gold medal final will take place on Sunday 22 February at 11.05.
